Elfreth, Sarah

Sarah Elfreth represents Maryland's 3rd congressional district in the House of Representatives, having been sworn in January 2025. Born and raised in New Jersey, she earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Towson University and a master's degree in public policy from Johns Hopkins University. Before her election to Congress, Elfreth served six years in the Maryland State Senate representing Anne Arundel County, winning a competitive 2018 primary and general election before her reelection in 2022. She has taught as an adjunct professor at Towson University's Honors College since 2019.
