Glenn Grothman is a Republican U.S. Representative from Wisconsin's 6th district who previously served as the assistant majority leader in the Wisconsin Senate from 2011 to 2015.
Background
Glenn Grothman was born on July 3, 1955. He is an attorney by profession and worked in law before entering public service. Prior to his election to the U.S. House of Representatives, he served as a member of both the Wisconsin State Assembly and the Wisconsin Senate.
Political career
Glenn Grothman began his political career in the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 58th district from 1993 to 2005, and later served in the Wisconsin Senate representing the 20th district from 2005 to 2015. A member of the Republican Party, he was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2014 to represent Wisconsin's 6th congressional district. He has served in the House since 2015, following his tenure in both chambers of the Wisconsin legislature.
