About
Chrissy Houlahan is a Democratic Representative from Pennsylvania's 6th District and a former United States Air Force officer who served as a project manager for air and space defense technologies.
Background
Born in 1967, Chrissy Houlahan graduated from Stanford University and later earned additional credits through a lifelong learning program at the University of Pennsylvania. She served as a project manager for air and space defense technologies in the United States Air Force and reached the rank of captain in the Air Force Reserve. Before her election to Congress, she held executive leadership roles at the sportswear company AND1 and the non-profit B-Lab, taught high school science through Teach for America, and served as president of the literacy non-profit Springboard Collaborative.
Political career
Before entering public office, Houlahan served as a captain in the United States Air Force and held leadership roles in the private and non-profit sectors, including serving as the president of Springboard Collaborative. A member of the Democratic Party, she was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018. She has represented Pennsylvania's 6th congressional district since 2019.

Houlahan, Chrissy represents the 6th congressional district of PA in the U.S. House. Houlahan, Chrissy currently serves on the Cyber, Information Technologies, and Innovation, the Defense Intelligence and Overhead Architecture, and the House Committee on Armed Services. They have sponsored 57 bills in the current House, including H.R. 8792; H.R. 8751; H.R. 8545.
