Harshbarger, Diana

Diana Harshbarger represents Tennessee's 1st congressional district, which encompasses the Tri-Cities area in northeastern Tennessee. First elected in 2020, she succeeded Phil Roe and has won reelection in both 2022 and 2024. Before entering Congress, Harshbarger built a career as a licensed pharmacist since 1987 and operates Premier Pharmacy with her husband Bob, specializing in compounding pharmacy services. She is the only woman in Tennessee's House delegation.

Harshbarger serves on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, where she participates in the Energy, Health, and Oversight and Investigations subcommittees. Her legislative work reflects her professional background in pharmacy and healthcare, with sponsored bills addressing pharmaceutical access, drug safety, and healthcare innovation. She has introduced 43 bills during her tenure, including measures on FDA applications, workplace safety programs, and vehicle safety standards.

She has been mentioned as a potential candidate for Governor of Tennessee in 2026, though she indicated she would only pursue that race if Senator Marsha Blackburn did not run.
