Background
Born in San Diego, Sara Jacobs graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a Master of International Affairs. Before entering elected office, she worked for the United Nations and UNICEF, and served as a contractor for the United States Department of State. She also worked as a policy advisor for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and founded a nonprofit organization focused on ending child poverty in San Diego.
