Background

Darin LaHood was born on July 5, 1968, and is the son of former U.S. Representative Ray LaHood. He established a legal career as a prosecutor, serving in the Tazewell County state's attorney's office and the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Nevada. After returning to Peoria in 2005, he worked in private law practice at the firm Miller, Hall & Triggs.
