Moore, Tim

Tim Moore represents North Carolina's 14th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. A lifelong resident of Kings Mountain, he built a legal career in Cleveland County before entering public service. Moore served in the North Carolina House of Representatives for over two decades, including a record-setting ten-year tenure as Speaker of the House. During his time in state leadership, he focused on economic growth, tax reform, and infrastructure development. He transitioned to federal office after winning election to Congress in 2024.

In the House, Moore serves on the Committee on Financial Services and the Committee on the Budget. Within the Financial Services Committee, he holds a leadership role as the Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. He is also a member of the subcommittees on Financial Institutions and Digital Assets, Financial Technology, and Artificial Intelligence. His legislative priorities include promoting economic stability, housing affordability, and government accountability. Notable bills he has sponsored include the Unlocking Homeownership Act and the Banning Perpetrators of Religious Persecution Act of 2026.
