Timmons, William R.

William R. Timmons IV is a Republican Representative serving South Carolina's 4th Congressional District, which includes the Upstate cities of Greenville and Spartanburg. First elected in 2018 and sworn in on January 3, 2019, he previously served in the South Carolina State Senate from 2016 to 2018. Before entering politics, he worked as a prosecutor in the 13th Circuit Solicitor's Office, where he specialized in domestic violence cases and helped establish a centralized court for those offenses. He is also an entrepreneur who has owned several small businesses, including a CrossFit gym and a yoga studio, and serves as a Captain and JAG officer in the South Carolina Air National Guard.
