Authorizing the use of the Capitol Grounds for the National Peace Officers Memorial Service and the National Honor Guard and Pipe Band Exhibition.

This resolution authorizes the use of the United States Capitol Grounds for the National Peace Officers Memorial Service and the National Honor Guard and Pipe Band Exhibition. These annual events, sponsored by the Grand Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police, are held to honor law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty. For the public, this means certain areas of the Capitol grounds will be designated for these ceremonies, which remain free and open to all citizens.
