Cesar Estrada Chavez Lands Legacy Study Act

This bill directed the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a formal study of sites in Arizona, California, and other western states that were significant to the life of Cesar Estrada Chavez and the farm labor movement. The study aimed to determine if these locations met the requirements to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places or designated as National Historic Landmarks. For citizens, this legislation represented the first step toward officially preserving the history of the farm labor movement and potentially creating new national park units or historical sites dedicated to its legacy.
