Veterans Medical Research Assistance Voluntary Option Act

This bill would allow individuals to donate a portion of their federal income tax refund directly to medical research conducted by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Taxpayers would be able to designate a specific amount from their overpayment on their tax returns to be used for VA medical and prosthetic research.

To manage these contributions, the legislation would establish a dedicated "Department of Veterans Affairs Medical and Prosthetic Research Gift Fund" within the U.S. Treasury. For the taxpayer, these contributions would be treated as a standard tax refund that is immediately donated back to the federal government for this specific purpose.
