Summary
Defense Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2001 - Makes emergency supplemental appropriations for the Department of Defense for FY 2001 for: (1) active and reserve military personnel; (2) operation and maintenance; (3) procurement; (4) shipbuilding and conversion; (5) the Defense Health Program; and (6) military family housing.
Makes emergency supplemental appropriations for the Department of Transportation for operating expenses of the Coast Guard.
Designates each amount appropriated as an emergency requirement pursuant to the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985 (Gramm-Rudman-Hollings Act).
