Finish the Arkansas Valley Conduit Act

H.R. 131, the Finish the Arkansas Valley Conduit Act, proposed to modify the financing terms for a major water infrastructure project in southeastern Colorado. The Arkansas Valley Conduit is a 130-mile pipeline designed to deliver clean drinking water from Pueblo Reservoir to 39 communities and approximately 50,000 people in the Lower Arkansas Valley region. Many of these communities currently rely on groundwater contaminated with naturally occurring radioactive elements and high salt content, creating serious public health concerns.
