National Wildlife Refuge System Operations Enhancement Act of 2007

This bill proposed increasing the price of federal migratory bird hunting stamps, commonly known as "Duck Stamps," with the additional revenue dedicated to the daily operations and maintenance of national wildlife refuges. It also aimed to create two new ways for citizens to voluntarily support wildlife conservation: a special "semipostal" postage stamp and a checkoff option on federal tax returns for direct donations. These measures were intended to generate supplemental funding for the National Wildlife Refuge System through a combination of user fees and voluntary public contributions.
