To amend title 10, United States Code, to provide TRICARE Standard coverage for members of reserve components of the Armed Forces who serve at least one year on active duty oversea.

H.R. 2824 would expand eligibility for TRICARE Standard, a Department of Defense health care program, to certain members of the military reserves and their families. To qualify, a member of the Ready Reserve or Retired Reserve must have served at least one year of continuous active duty at a station located outside of the United States. This coverage would remain available to the service member and their immediate family for as long as the individual remains a member of the Ready Reserve or Retired Reserve.
