Western Shoshone Claims Distribution Act

This bill establishes a process to distribute long-standing financial settlements awarded to the Western Shoshone Indians by the federal government. It directs the Secretary of the Interior to create an official roll of eligible recipients—defined as U.S. citizens with at least one-quarter Western Shoshone blood—to receive direct payments from these judgment funds. Additionally, the legislation creates a Western Shoshone Educational Trust Fund to provide grants and financial assistance for the education of tribal members, overseen by a newly formed administrative committee.
