Carlie's Law

H.R. 3107, known as Carlie’s Law, seeks to expand the tracking and monitoring of individuals convicted of crimes against children. The bill would require federal agencies to coordinate and register U.S. citizens convicted of child predatory crimes abroad into the National Sex Offender Registry upon their return to the country. Additionally, the legislation would mandate lifelong electronic monitoring for individuals convicted of certain crimes against victims age 12 or younger and increase federal sentencing penalties for human trafficking.
