Disaster Voting Reform Act of 2007

This bill would provide federal support to ensure that citizens can still vote after a major natural disaster. It would offer grants to states to replace damaged voting equipment and fund outreach programs to help displaced voters understand their options. Additionally, the bill would allow disaster evacuees to vote by absentee ballot using the same streamlined procedures currently available to military members and citizens living overseas.
