Executive Branch Accountability and Transparency Act

The Executive Branch Accountability and Transparency Act (H.R. 3642) would require the Office of Government Ethics to create and maintain a single, centralized website where the public can easily search for ethics records of high-level executive branch officials. Currently, documents such as financial disclosures, ethics agreements, and gift waivers for non-career political appointees are often difficult to access or only available upon specific request. By moving these records into a sortable and downloadable digital database, the bill aims to provide citizens with more direct oversight of potential conflicts of interest among senior government leaders.
