LISTOS Act

The Language-Inclusive Support and Transparency for Online Services (LISTOS) Act (H.R. 3806) aims to ensure that large social media and online platforms provide the same level of safety and policy enforcement for non-English speakers as they do for English speakers.

If passed, the bill would require these platforms to consistently apply their community standards—such as rules against fraud, misinformation, and hate speech—across all languages they support.
