AQUAA Act

The Advancing the Quality and Understanding of American Aquaculture (AQUAA) Act aims to establish a national regulatory framework for offshore aquaculture in U.S. federal waters. The bill would streamline the permitting process for fish farms located more than three miles offshore and create a dedicated office within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to oversee the industry.
