High School Athletics Accountability Act of 2004

The High School Athletics Accountability Act of 2004 would require coeducational elementary and secondary schools that receive federal funding to collect and report data regarding gender equality in their athletic programs. Schools would be mandated to disclose information such as participation rates, team budgets, and expenditures for equipment, travel, and coaching for both male and female students.
