To make funds available to pay the United States prisoners of war that brought suit against the Government of Iraq in the case of Acree v. Republic of Iraq.

This bill directs the Department of the Treasury to pay $1 million to each of the 17 American prisoners of war who were plaintiffs in the legal case Acree v. Republic of Iraq. These individuals were captured and held by the Iraqi government during the first Gulf War in the early 1990s. The legislation aims to provide direct financial compensation to these veterans for the treatment they endured during their captivity.
