Summary
Nebraska National Forest Cooperation Act of 2002 - Authorizes the Secretary of Agriculture to enter into cooperative agreements and contracts with the Nebraska State Forester for watershed restoration and protection activities on National Forest System land in Nebraska if the State Forester is carrying out similar activities on adjacent State or private land.
Includes among such activities: (1) treatment of insect-infested trees; (2) reduction of hazardous fuels; and (3) improvement of watersheds across ownership boundaries.
Terminates agreement and contract authority on September 30, 2006.
