Summary
Medicare Paramedic Intercept Services Coverage Expansion Act of 2002 - Amends the Balanced Budget Act of 1997 to permit payment under title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act for advanced life support (ALS) services provided by a paramedic intercept service provider in non-rural as well as rural areas. Provides that payments attributable to this Act shall not be taken into account in determining an aggregate amount of payments for purposes of computing the fee schedule for ambulance services.
