Puerto Rico Hospitals Medicare DSH Equity Act of 2007

This bill aims to change how Medicare provides financial support to hospitals in Puerto Rico that serve a high volume of low-income patients. Under current law, these "disproportionate share hospitals" (DSH) in Puerto Rico receive lower federal payments than similar hospitals in the 50 states due to a different calculation formula.
