American Veterans Disabled for Life Commemorative Coin Act

This law authorized the U.S. Treasury to mint a limited-edition $1 silver coin in 2010 to honor the service and sacrifice of disabled American veterans. For each coin sold, a $10 surcharge was collected to fund the construction and maintenance of the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial in Washington, D.C. This program allowed the public to support the creation of a national monument through the purchase of a commemorative collectible.
