Osteoporosis Federal Employee Health Benefits Standardization Act of 2001

This bill would require all health insurance plans offered through the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) program to provide coverage for bone mass measurements. These screenings, often used to detect osteoporosis, would be guaranteed for "qualified individuals" enrolled in federal health plans, such as federal employees, retirees, and their dependents.
