A PLUS Act

The Academic Partnerships Lead Us to Success Act, or A PLUS Act, would create a new framework for how states receive federal elementary and secondary education funding. Rather than receiving funds designated for specific programs, states could consolidate their federal education dollars and have greater flexibility in how they spend that money, as long as the spending aligns with what state law permits.

If enacted, this bill could significantly change how education funding works at the state level. This could mean states direct funds toward different initiatives, from teacher salaries to infrastructure to specialized programs, based on their own judgment.
