Combat Military Medically Retired Veteran's Fairness Act of 2005

This bill would allow veterans who were medically retired from the military due to combat-related injuries to receive both their full retirement pay and their disability compensation simultaneously. Specifically, it targets veterans who served fewer than 20 years but were awarded the Purple Heart, removing the current legal requirement that reduces their retirement pay by the amount of disability benefits they receive. If enacted, this change would ensure these combat-injured veterans receive their full earned benefits without the "offset" that currently limits their monthly income.
