Providing for the expenses of certain committees of the House of Representatives in the One Hundred Eleventh Congress.

H.Res. 279 established the operating budgets for most standing and select committees of the House of Representatives during the 111th Congress (2009–2010). These funds cover essential administrative costs, including staff salaries, equipment, and the resources necessary for committees to conduct investigations and draft legislation. To ensure financial accountability, the resolution required committee leaders to testify before the Committee on House Administration to review their spending before receiving their full allotment of funds for the second year of the term.
