Amateur Sports Integrity Act

The Amateur Sports Integrity Act (S. 1002) aims to reduce the use of performance-enhancing drugs and eliminate gambling in amateur athletics. The bill would establish a federal research program to develop more accurate testing methods for banned substances and provide grants for drug prevention and education programs targeting high school and college students. Additionally, it would make it illegal to operate or promote any gambling or wagering schemes based on the performance of high school, college, or Olympic athletes.
