United States Military Cancer Institute Center of Excellence Act of 2003

This bill would establish a permanent Center of Excellence within the United States Military Cancer Institute to study why certain cancers affect different ethnic groups at higher rates. The Center would also conduct specialized research into oncology nursing to improve the quality of care for patients undergoing treatment. By collaborating with other research institutions, the bill aims to use the military’s diverse population to better understand cancer causes and develop more effective prevention and treatment strategies for both service members and the general public.
