Abortion Providers Loan Elimination Act

The Abortion Providers Loan Elimination Act (S. 1382) would prohibit organizations that perform abortions from receiving loans through the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), a federal initiative originally created to support small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. This restriction would not apply to hospitals or to entities that only perform abortions in cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother. Additionally, the bill requires a federal audit to determine how many PPP loans have previously been granted to the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and other abortion providers.
