Partner with Korea Act

The Partner with Korea Act would create a new "E-4" visa category specifically for up to 15,000 South Korean citizens to work in the United States each year. This program would be reserved for highly skilled professionals in "specialty occupations" that require a bachelor’s degree or higher, such as engineering, technology, or specialized sciences.

For U.S. citizens and businesses, this bill aims to address labor shortages in high-tech industries by providing a dedicated pathway for skilled South Korean professionals to fill specialized roles. While the bill sets a cap on the number of workers, their spouses and children would be allowed to accompany them without counting toward the 15,000-person annual limit.
