Family Stability and Opportunity Vouchers Act of 2021

The Family Stability and Opportunity Vouchers Act of 2021 would create 500,000 new housing vouchers specifically for low-income families with children under age six who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability. These vouchers are designed to help families move to "areas of opportunity," which are neighborhoods with high-performing schools, quality childcare, and strong job prospects. In addition to rental assistance, the bill provides funding for counseling and support services to help families navigate the moving process and successfully transition into their new communities.
