Racial Profiling Education and Awareness Act of 2002

Racial Profiling Education and Awareness Act of 2002 - Directs the Attorney General to establish an education and awareness program on racial profiling and its negative effects on individuals and law enforcement, to be offered at regional centers to State and local law enforcement agencies.

Directs the Department of Justice to: (1) evaluate the performance of programs implemented under this Act to assist State and local law enforcement agencies in developing and implementing internal training programs to combat racial profiling and to foster enhanced community relations; (2) identify the programs that represent the best practices and that may be replicated and used to provide assistance to other law enforcement agencies; and (3) assist those State and local law enforcement agencies that would most benefit from the education program and materials developed in implementing a racial profiling prevention plan.
