Protecting Military Bases from Connected Vehicles of Concern Act of 2025

This bill would prohibit the operation of certain connected vehicles (networked or internet-enabled vehicles) on Department of Defense property. The vehicles targeted would be those designed, developed, manufactured, or supplied by entities owned or controlled by foreign countries of concern. The bill aims to protect military installations from potential national security risks, including threats of sabotage, subversion of technology infrastructure, or other dangers to U.S. security and critical infrastructure. By January 1, 2027, the Secretary of Defense would be required to create and publish a public list of prohibited vehicles that pose these potential risks. This bill is currently in the early stages of the legislative process and has not yet advanced to committee action.
