DISCLOSE Act

The DISCLOSE Act is designed to increase transparency regarding the money spent on federal election campaigns by corporations, labor unions, and advocacy groups. The bill would require these organizations to identify their top donors in political advertisements and file public reports within 24 hours of making significant expenditures. Additionally, it seeks to limit political spending by government contractors and foreign-controlled corporations while requiring companies to disclose their campaign-related spending directly to their shareholders and members.
