Combating the Pakistani Taliban Act of 2010

This bill would require the Secretary of State to officially designate the Pakistani Taliban (Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan) as a foreign terrorist organization. This designation would make it a federal crime for any person in the United States to provide "material support or resources"—such as money, lodging, or training—to the group. Additionally, the bill would allow the government to freeze the organization's financial assets in U.S. banks and deny its members entry into the country.
