American Veterans Disabled for Life Commemorative Coin Act

This bill authorizes the U.S. Treasury to mint and issue up to 500,000 silver one-dollar coins in 2010 to honor disabled American veterans. Each coin sold would include a $10 surcharge paid to the Disabled Veterans' LIFE Memorial Foundation to help fund the construction and permanent endowment of the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial in Washington, D.C. The legislation is designed to ensure the program operates at no net cost to the federal government by requiring the Treasury to recover all production expenses through coin sales.
