Limited English Proficiency and Integrated Workforce Training Act

The Limited English Proficiency and Integrated Workforce Training Act (S. 834) would establish a national pilot project to combine English language instruction with technical job skills training. Under this bill, the Department of Labor would award at least ten competitive grants to partnerships between employers, community colleges, and nonprofit organizations to develop these integrated programs.
