TRIP Act

The Transit in Parks Act (TRIP Act) aims to improve transportation options within and around national parks, wildlife refuges, and other federal lands. The bill would establish a partnership between the Department of Transportation and the Department of the Interior to fund and plan alternative transit systems, such as shuttles, buses, and bicycle paths. For the public, this legislation is designed to reduce traffic congestion and pollution in protected natural areas while making these sites more accessible to visitors who do not have a personal vehicle.
