Booker, Cory A.

Cory Booker is the senior United States Senator from New Jersey, a position he has held since winning a special election in 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as the 38th Mayor of Newark and as a member of the Newark Municipal Council. Raised in New Jersey, he was educated at Stanford University, Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, and Yale Law School. He made history as New Jersey's first African-American senator and has since been reelected in 2014 and 2020.
