Hassan, Margaret Wood

Margaret Wood Hassan represents New Hampshire as a Democrat in the House of Representatives. Before entering federal service, she built a legal career as an attorney for private firms and served as associate general counsel for Brigham and Women's Hospital. Her political experience is extensive, having served as the 81st Governor of New Hampshire and as a leader in the state senate. She is one of only three women in American history to have been elected as both a governor and a U.S. Senator.
