Before entering public service, he was a businessman and rancher, notably taking over his family’s plumbing company at age 20 and expanding it into a large regional enterprise. He holds an associate degree in construction technology from the Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology and is also known for his background as a former undefeated mixed martial arts fighter.
In the Senate, Mullin’s legislative focus frequently centers on Tribal sovereignty, small business advocacy, and public safety. His committee work includes assignments on the Senate Committees on Armed Services, Appropriations, Indian Affairs, and Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP). Within these committees, he has held leadership roles as the Chair of the HELP Subcommittee on Employment and Workplace Safety and the Appropriations Subcommittee on the Legislative Branch.
