Magaziner, Seth

Seth Magaziner represents Rhode Island's 2nd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, having first entered office in January 2023. Born in Bristol, Rhode Island, he earned a bachelor's degree from Brown University and an MBA from Yale University. Before his election to Congress, Magaziner served two terms as Rhode Island's General Treasurer from 2015 to 2023, where he focused on school construction and clean energy investments. His early career also included work as a public school teacher through Teach for America and as an investment professional.

In the House, Magaziner holds several key committee assignments, including the Committee on Homeland Security and the Committee on Natural Resources. He serves as the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, reflecting a legislative focus on national security and infrastructure protection. His work on the Natural Resources Committee involves oversight of energy, mineral resources, and wildlife conservation, aligning with his previous state-level experience in environmental finance.
