Thompson, Glenn

Glenn "GT" Thompson is a Republican U.S. Representative representing Pennsylvania's 15th Congressional District. First elected to Congress in 2008, he previously represented the state's 5th District before redistricting in 2018. Born on July 27, 1959, in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, Thompson spent nearly three decades as a healthcare professional, working as a therapist, rehabilitation services manager, and licensed nursing home administrator. His background also includes service as a volunteer firefighter and a member of the Bald Eagle Area School Board.

In the House, Thompson holds a significant leadership role as the Chair of the House Committee on Agriculture. He is also a senior member of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, where he serves on subcommittees focused on early childhood and higher education.
