Fruit Heights Land Conveyance Act of 2025

H.R. 5478 would direct the Secretary of Agriculture to convey approximately 295.89 acres of undesignated federal land within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest to the City of Fruit Heights in Davis County, Utah. The bill would allow the city to expand and improve hiking and biking trails in the area, including completing a section of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail.

Under the bill's terms, Fruit Heights would be responsible for all costs associated with the land transfer and would be required to use the land only for public purposes. The legislation includes a reserved easement for the Bonneville Shoreline Trail to ensure continued public access.
