Responsible Containment Reauthorization Act

H.R. 7811 would amend the Uranium Mill Tailings Radiation Control Act of 1978 to extend the operating authorization for a disposal site located in Mesa County, Colorado. Currently, the bill has been introduced in the House and referred to committee for consideration.

If enacted, this legislation would allow the disposal site to continue operating until it reaches its designed capacity for storing uranium mill tailings.
